2019 Domaine Celine and Nicolas Hirsch, Beaujolais-Villages France
We just love a love story! Husband and wife team born in Alsace, Céline, and Nicolas and their love for wine and each other quickly grew (I'm sure over a few glasses of Gamay if you know what we mean ; ) ! They headed south to the Beaujolais region here is where they would find themselves ingrained in the Gamay vines of an estate in Chénas. Their love grew and so did their farm which is now 4 hectares (9.88 acres) of old-vine Gamay growing on steep granitic, sandy soils in the towns of Chénas, Juliénas, and Moulin à Vent. The wine is light, dry red wine, with high acidity, light minerality notes of strawberry, bubblegum, and citrus
