2019 Bertolino "Majara" Rosso,

2019 Bertolino "Majara" Rosso,

Salvatore and Gabriele - The Bertolino brothers! Their names alone already tell you they make delicous wines. They  grew up passionate about the protection of their Sicilian territory. There was a gradual land abandonment in this area due to the crisis of Marsala wine which therefore encouraged them to start producing a low environmental impact wine. First it steps Organic and Biodynamic was a must. The "Majara" is 100% Parpato and sees 4 days of skin contact fermentation in stainless steel tanks with 8 months ageing on the lees.

Notes of tobbacco, cherry and delicous medium red fruit, with wonderful mouth feel and a smooth dry texture.

  • A Little More...

In 2015 and 2016, before the two brothers founded the business, they made their first wines, but it wasn't until 2017 that they released their first official product, "Fuitina." "Fuitina," was named after a dialect word for "a lover's escape." "Fuitina" owes its birth to the inheritance of their grandmother Ida’s vineyard of Catarratto, located on a marl hill in the western side of Marsala.
