2018 Le Bout du Monde L'echape belle, Languedoc France

2018 Le Bout du Monde L'echape belle, Languedoc France

Edouard lafitte is a peer of Jean Francois Nicq ( founding winemaker at Estezargues) and Eric Pfifferling of Domaine L'Anglore.

All of his wines are known for working with carbonic maceration, and Ed is consistently making some of the best in southern France. Farming 6 ha of vineyards that are never sprayed with chemical herbicides or pesticides, only plowed, Edouard makes fresh, joyful wines that are vinified according to their soil type (shale, gneiss, and granite). Everything is worked by hand from start to finish, and (of course) organically. There are about a dozen young natural winemakers working in this area , but Edouard is one of the first to arrive back in 1995 .

The L'echapee Belle is 60% Syrah and 40% Carignan. Notes of dark and bright fruit, rasberry, dark cherry. Medium body with medium tannins.
