2018 Dolores Cabrera, La Araucaria Tinto Parje La Perdoma, Canary Islands Spain
Dolores is making phenomenal wines out of the Canary Islands and for that reason we got out hands on some! She is a long time farmer working in the Valle de la Orotava, Tenerife. Her vineyards have always been worked organically, with a portion being certfied. La Araucaria is singlur and natural approach the grape vairety, Listan Negro. This wine is phenomenal with its expression and notes of red and black fruites. cracked peppercorns, purple flowers, smokey and earthy volcanic soil .
The grapes are hand harvested in late sept. and carbonic macerated with stems for 12 days. Aged in steel tank for 6 months.

Dolores Cabrera is a long time farmer working in the Valle de la Orotova, Tenerife. She was at one point selling her graes to larger producers for many years and then decided to start bottling and making her own in 2013. The D.O of Valle de la Orotava is the largest in the canary islands and named after the historic town. Winemaking dates all the way back to the spanish conquest of the 15th century and is the oldest of the 5 appelations on the island. Its shaped by Pico del Teide, the 3rd largest active volcano in the world.
